Panther killed on SR 80 east of LaBelle
LABELLE, Fla. - The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reports a vehicle struck and killed a panther just east of Labelle on State Road 80.
The remains of the approximately two to three-year-old male panther were found Saturday.
The FWC says the carcass will be transported to the FWC Wildlife Research Lab in Gainesville for a necropsy.
This is the 7th panther death and 5th road mortality for 2013.
