Man arrested for threatening motorcyclists on Fort Myers Beach
FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - A Sunday motorcycle ride Fort Myers Beach for a couple and a friend turned frightening.
A man and his wife on one bike and another friend on his own cycle where traveling south on Estero Boulevard when a Nissan Altima began tailgating them.
The two motorcyclists passed a stopped Lee Tran bus when driver of the Nissan also pulled up and nearly hit the two, an incident confirmed by the bus driver.
Then the Nissan sped ahead and began breaking as if to get the motorcycles to hit the car or run them off the road. Finally, one of the motorcyclists pulled up to the car and the driver, identified as Ovidio Alexander Posada, 28, showed a handgun and threatened the biker.
At that point the biker stopped and called authorities and a deputy stopped Posado, who was later identified in a lineup.
He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault.
