Fort Myers police checkpoint results in 14 arrests
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police set up a traffic checkpoint Friday morning at Seaboard near Palm Beach Boulevard that resulted in 14 arrests.
Police were checking for driver's license from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and stopped 1,576 vehicles.
Officers checked drivers for a current license and registration. Besides the 14 arrests police issued 31 citations.
Seven were arrested for not having a license. Two were arrested for having expired licenses.
Two more were arrested for having a revoked license while three mothers had a suspended license.
