Life on the water: Annual boat show in Fort Myers this weekend
FORT MYERS, Fla.- Southwest Florida Marine Industries Association hosting its annual boat show at the Lee County Civic Center from Thursday thru Sunday.
Tom Hansen, President of the Boat House in Cape Coral shows Fox 4 one of the most expensive boats on display at the boat show.
"Our most expensive boat is our Colbalt brand. It's a premium brand, very nice, high quality boat," said Hansen.
The boat costs more than $100,000, but whether you're looking to spend a fortune or stay on budget, there is plenty to choose from at the Fort Myers Spring Boat Show.
"About anything anyone would want fishing boats, lots of pontoons, deck boats, bay boats," said John Good, Boat Show Manager.
So are people buying or browsing. Hansen tells Fox 4 he has already sold 2 boats and that's pretty decent considering they range in price from $10,000 dollars to $200, 000 dollars. Organizers say the first day of the show, already 1,000 people visited the Civic Center.
"A different mood right now, saw some of it in our November show in downtown Fort Myers and definitely seeing it now, people out start to spend some money," said Good.
