Serial Lee County bank robber indicted
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Daniel Ball, the man accused of holding up three Fort Myers area banks in the course of one week, was indicted on three counts of bank robbery Wednesday.
The 36-year-old Lee County man robbed a Fifth Third Bank on February 25, an Edison National Bank on February 28 and another Fifth Third Bank on March 1. He was later captured that night in Lehigh Acres.
If convicted Ball faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison on each count.
