Arrest warrant issued in murder of Cape Coral teacher Amy Patterson
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office now have an arrest warrant for the murder of Bokeelia resident Amy Patterson. The 41-year-old middle school teacher disappeared in July 2011.
Her body was discovered last August in Bokeelia. Even before the discovery of her body her ex-husband, 45-year-old Daniel Proctor had been a prime suspect in her disappearance.
Now homicide detectives have a warrant to arrest Proctor on a charge of 2nd degree murder.
Proctor is currently serving a life sentence in Alabama for grand theft.
