2 injured in North Fort Myers DUI crash

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - A North Fort Myers man was arrested Monday afternoon for DUI after causing a crash that sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol arrested 62-year-old Thomas Joseph Snider for the crash at Bayshore Road and Brewers Road charging him with DUI, DUI causing property damage and injury and with careless driving.

The FHP says Snider slowed to pick up a pedestrian on Bayshore.  His pickup partially blocked the outside lane and crosswalk.the driver of a Toyota at stopped to pick up a pedestrian at a crosswalk and Snider failed to stop. 

His vehicle was hit by another driver from behind and a third vehicle struck the the front of Snider's pickup.

The driver of the car that rear-ended Snider's pickup suffered minor injuries as did a passenger in the SUV that hit the front of Snider's vehicle.
