Deadly crash in North Fort Myers
NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian at U.S. 41 and Evergreen around 8 p.m. Thursday
Witnesses tell FOX 4 News that a homeless man was trying to cross U.S. 41 where he was struck in the northbound lane by a Ford 150 pickup.
The name of the 43-year-old victim has not been released by the FHP.
The northbound lanes of U.S. 41 were shutdown for several hours.
