Lee County deputies cleared in I-75 shooting
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The State Attorney's office has cleared two Lee County deputies involved in a shooting that happened back in June 2012.
The shooting happened on I 75 after a traffic stop just north of the Bayshore exit.
Deputies Frank Tretska and Dan Cote shot and killed a man after they say he became violent when drugs were discovered in his car.
The State Attorney's office says after their review of the report, they are ruling the shooting as justified.
