2 arrested for running suspected Port Charlotte marijuana operation
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County narcotics detectives raided a Port Charlotte home this morning shutting down a marijuana distribution business.
Detectives seized $13,405 in cash, 142 grams of marijuana, along with four weapons including ammunition.
51-year-old Raymond Quintana and his 31-year-old son Raymond Quintana both face charges of possession and distribution of marijuana. The father is also charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon and the son faces a cocaine possession charge.
A warrant will be filed with the State Attorney’s Office for the arrest of the wife and mother, Maria Quintana, 69, due to the family not having a caretaker of their special needs daughter in the home; the Department of Children and Families was notified.
The father, 61 year old Raymond Quintana remains in jail on no bond.
His son, 31 year old Raymond Quintana remains in jail on an $11,000 bond.
