FORT MYERS, Fla.- A beat down at a South Fort Myers High School and it's all caught on cell phone video! The mother of one of those students say she warned school officials of a potential fight, but they did nothing to protect her daughter.

Tonette Murph says the video is hard to watch. Video shot on someone's cell phone shows a crowd gathered in the hallway at South Fort Myers High School. Another student later posted the video on Twitter. The fight happened last week.

The video shows a student taking a swing at Tonette's 15-year-old daughter.

"It breaks my heart to even see that kids are fighting like this," said Murph.

Tonette took her daughter to the ER after the fight. She suffered blows to the face, scratches around the eyes and a swollen nose.

"It looks like she was beat up. She was in a matching ring with someone boxing."

Tonette is not sure what started the fight, but says rumors flew around the school about a potential fight the day it happened so Tonette says she called the school to warn them.

"Everybody keeps telling my daughter she should have told administration, she told her mom. I'm her protector. I called the school as a concerned parent and no one even cared."

So why didn't school administration take Tonette's concerns seriously? What exactly happened during this fight? These are concerns I took to the Lee County School District Tuesday morning. I am still waiting to hear back.

"What kind of answers have you received from administration?"
"Everyone is busy."

Tonette also adds that her daughter has a hearing with the school on Friday. The school administration will then decide potential punishment for the students involved in the fight.

Fox will check back with the district Wednesday morning for a response.
