FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee County Commission voted unanimously this morning to move forward with a deal that would replace its own MedStar program with a private company called Air Methods.

The BOC considered three suitors to replace the county run MedStar medical helicopter service. 

Air Methods was considered the favorite going into this morning's vote. 

The BOC will make a final decision on the contract in 120 days.
