Rick Scott pushing for teacher raises
TALLAHASSEE, Fla - Governor Rick Scott is taking new steps to try and ensure that Florida teachers get a pay raise.
The governor is urging the State Board of Education to get on board with the idea by writing a letter that's being presented to the board tonight. The Governor is pushing for a 2500 dollar pay raise for all Florida teachers as part of the state’s new budget.
The legislature will take up the teacher pay raise issue when it convenes for the new session next month.
