Laugh your way to better health
Enjoy free laughter yoga class at Fort Myers Beach or the River District
FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - The old saying says "laughter is the best medicine" and a class being offered in Southwest Florida aims to make the most of that idea.
Therapist Jeanette Bevilacqua offers a free Laughter Yoga class at Lynn Hall Park on Fort Myers Beach on Fridays from 8-9am.
The free class is also offered at Centennial Park in the Fort Myers River District on Sundays from 5-6pm.
Laughter yoga was developed in 1995 by a family doctor and his yoga instructor wife in Mambai, India.
There are now more than 6,000 clubs in more than 60 countries.
Advocates say it can reduce stress, boost your immune system, promotes relaxation and lift one's mood.
