A whole new meaning for "Happy V Day" in Southwest Florida

Therapist teachers class on healthy approach to sexuality and aging

 FORT MYERS, Fla. - When most people wish you a "happy V day," they probably mean "happy Valentine's day."

But Fort Myers-based psychotherapist, Jeanette Bevilacqua (ARNP, EdD) has something else in mind.

She gives "V Talks" for women only.

Dr. Bevilacqua, a breast cancer survivor, calls the talk an elightening, humorous and fact-filled journey about sexual experience. 

She invites women to learn about the mind-body connection through a frank and open educational experience.

Dr. Bevilacqua will gave the talk on Sunday, February 23 from 1-5pm in a private meeting room at Anytime Fitness at 12901 McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers.

The cost is $60 and includes snacks.

Dr. Bevilacqua is a holitically trained nurse and psychotherapist in private practice.

She also teaches at Florida Gulf Coast University and USF.

She has taught human sexuality for many years in both nursing and graudate counseling education programs.

"Teaching about sex is one of the most challening and interesting experiences," she says.

"It gets one's attention to the topic and it provides an opportunity to learn about all aspects of life including physical and emotioanl health and disease, body image and functioning, the aging process, societal and cultural trends, love and relationships, just to name a few!"
