Bullets hit home in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in Lehigh Acres where several bullets hit a home.
A deputy responded to a call from a woman living in the 3000 block of 65th Street SW about bullets striking her home.
The deputy arrived and found two bullet holes in the house, one bullet lodged itself in a kitchen wall.
The woman said she heard six to seven popping noises and asked her son to go outside to see if it was his friends playing outside.
When she opened the door, her son dove into the house pushing her back, seconds later she noticed a bullet hole.
The woman was at home with her three children at the time. A neighbor also reported hearing shots but no one saw where they came from.
