Fort Myers Miracle seize on Rubio's water bottle
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The promotions minded Fort Myers Miracle are seizing upon the mid-speech sip by Florida Senator Marco Rubio during his State of the Union response Tuesday night.
The minor league baseball team plans to host a Marco Rubio water bottle giveaway this summer at Hammond Stadium. The ballcub has not set an exact date for the promotion.
The Miracle will recreate Rubio's famous sip by setting up a booth where fans can put on a sports jacket, stand in front of a set and down some high-quality H20.
As part of the festivities the Hammond Stadium groundscrew will perform a mid-game rain dance.
Finally, the Miracle have invited Senator Rubio to throw out the first pitch.
