Fire destroys Marco Island home
MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - Fire destroyed a home on Marco Island this afternoon.
Shortly after 1 p.m. Marco Island Fire-Rescue received a call about a structure fire in the 1700 block of Waterfall Court.
Someone called in saying they saw flames and smoke coming from the roof of a house.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming from the roof and immediately called a second alarm.
Crews from Isle of Capri and East Naples along with Collier EMS also assisted the fight.
The home lost three quarters of its roof and is a total loss.
Fire investigators are working to determine what started the blaze.
