Hendry County crash kills 1, injures 2
HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. - An early morning crash outside of Clewiston Saturday killed a 59-year-old woman and injured two others.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Austin James Stopppiello of Clewiston was driving east on State Road 80 approaching Al Don Farming Road.
59-year-old Magdiel Davila was driving west on State Road 80 in a pickup towing a utility trailer.
For an unknown reasons Stopppiello crossed over the highway into the path of Davila's vehicle hitting the pickup and the trailer.
The impact killed Davila and left a passenger, 58-year-old Emilia Martinez De Davila with minor injuries. Stoppiello also suffered minor injuries.
Charges are pending in the crash.
