Englewood safe theft results in 5 arrests
ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives arrested five people Wednesday in connection with the theft of nine weapons, cash and coins from a safe in an Englewood area home on January 26.
The five taken into custody are identified as 29-year-old Todd Michael Matsinger, 32-year-old William Brandon Shaffer, 22-year-old Ross William Houle, 47-year-old Patricia Joyce Snyder and 26-year-old Jennifer Elizabeth Snyder.
Several of the stolen weapons were recovered by the CCSO Dive Team earlier this week in a canal off Prospect Street in Englewood East near the Charlotte/Sarasota county line. Another weapon was bought by detectives at the Snyder’s home in Sarasota County on Jan. 31.
