PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Charlotte County road deputies spotted a late night rendezvous leading to the arrest of two convicted felons on crack cocaine charges.

Just before midnight deputies spotted two cars in Port Charlotte parked on a road with no lights.

A check found 31-year-old Rolando Enrique Gomez and 45-year-old Bobbie Jo Keene both of Punta Gorda.

As the deputies approached the 2002 Pontiac Trans Am and a 1995 Toyota Corolla, the woman in the Toyota said she was there to give Keene some money. The other deputy met with Keene, the Pontiac driver, and her passenger Gomez. Keene said she was there to give the woman in the Toyota some money.

Both drivers appeared nervous but did tell deputies they could search them and the vehicles. Deputies located a container in the Pontiac with Crack Cocaine, numerous pieces of Crack Cocaine on the floor mat, and a razor knife with Cocaine residue. The Pontiac was towed and deputies release the driver of the Toyota.

Keene and Gomez were both charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
