COLLIER COUNTY - Students at a Collier County school got to welcome a very distinguished guest today.
Retired four star General Barry McCaffrey visited Gulf Coast High School to speak with hundreds of Collier County ROTC students. McCaffrey was the youngest general in the Army at the time of his retirement in 1996 at the age of 54.
He says the ROTC program teaches children skills like discipline and leadership, which will serve well as they grow older.
