Nerves bring down suspected drug trafficker in Lee County
FORT MYERS, Fla. - A keen eyed Lee County deputy spotted a nervous customer at a BP Station along Colonial Boulevard.
30-year-old Timothy Milhomme of Cape Coral went into the store and appeared to pay for gas. The deputy watching him says Milhomme went back to his car and started the process of pumping gas. When Milhomme returned the nozzle to the pump the deputy noticed he hadn't pumped any gas.
Milhomme had gone back inside the gas station, then exited the building abandoning his car.
The deputy called in a drug sniffing dog which alerted to narcotics in the car. A search uncovered almost a kilo of cocaine hidden in the vehicle.
Milhomme was found walking through the parking lot of an adjoining business, arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine.
