CAPE CORAL - Cape Coral police are warning you about a crime trend called "car hopping".
The crooks go car to car in a parking lot or neighborhood just checking to see if the car is unlocked. When they get to one that's open, they steal anything valuable from inside.
If you see anyone suspicious cruising cars in your neighborhood, call Cape Coral police at 239-574-3223.
