Crash in Lehigh Acres sends 7 to the hospital
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A two vehicle crash on State Road 82 at Shawnee in Lehigh Acres Wednesday morning sent seven people to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a mini-van and a car were stopped on westbound SR 82 due to traffic when a Nissan Altima driven by 23-year-old Jordan Whatley of Immokalee rear-ended the mini-van. The mini-van hit the car stopped in front of it.
The crash shutdown traffic on SR 82 for more than an hour.
Whatley was cited by the FHP for careless driving.
