Urgent plea for O positive plea from Lee Memorial Blood Center
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee Memorial Blood Center is asking the public for O positive blood donations.
The Lee Memorial Health system is in urgent need of O positive blood, although all types of blood are welcome as 800 units of blood are used each week. Lee County Health System services a 5-county radius.
Blood and blood products are not only needed in the trauma center but also to treat cancer patients, premature babies, anemia and the list goes on and on.
