Remains identified in the 1993 death of Punta Gorda woman
FORT MYERS, Fla.--- Punta Gorda Police is telling FOX 4 that remains have been identified of that of a Charlotte County woman who has been missing since 1993.
The remains were examined by the Charlotte County Medical Examiner’s Office. A dental comparison positively identified the remains as that of Frances Hendrickson. The family of Ms. Hendrickson has been notified.
Divers in Punta Gorda found that car in a canal believed tied to a Hendrickson who went missing almost 20 years ago.
The car was removed after nearly two hours of working to recover it from a canal.
