FORT MYERS, Fla - Several protests took place today in an effort to raise awareness about the transportation of medical waste, including one in front of Lee Memorial.
front of lee memorial. The group “Safe Hospitals, Safe Communities” says there have been several incidents over the span of a few years involving accidents because of improper medical waste disposal. The group wants hospitals to stop shipping untreated waste.
