Brush fire flares up near Gulf Cove
GULF COVE, Fla. - Firefighters in Charlotte County are battling a brush fire in the Gulf Cove area. Firefighters found two small brush fires burning in the area of Elvington and Jennings south of Gulf Cove.
The fire had plenty of fuel and was moving rapidly but firefighters acted quickly. Less than an acre burned.
The fire never threatened any structures and no one was injured. There's no word on a cause.
