Thief in Lehigh Acres takes advantage of unlocked car

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A wallet left in an unlocked car led to a criminal opportunity that has Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers looking for help.

Crime Stoppers released photos of a man caught racking up charges on a credit card that was stolen from that unlocked car parked in the driveway of a Lehigh Acres home.

The victim left his wallet in his car the night of January 5th on 4th Street SW in Lehigh.  Less than 48 hours later his bank notified him about some suspicious charges made on his card.

The card was used at several businesses before he could get it shutdown.  At that point the victim not knowing his wallet was missing check and found it missing along with his personal identification and credit card.

Surveillance photos from WalMart show a white male with dark hair and a beard using the victim's card. Detectives are asking the public to put a name to the face.  Anyone with information on the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
