Charlotte County woman arrested for WalMart theft
MURDOCK, Fla. - Charlotte County deputies arrested a 29-year-old woman for trying to steal two home theater systems from the Murdock WalMart Monday.
Sharikia Shanika Smith faces a charge of grand theft.
Monday afternoon a WalMart security officer called CCSO to report he had a known shoplifter in custody. He said he watched Smith in the electronics department load two items valued at $446 into a shopping cart and exit the store. He detained her until deputies arrived.
Smith posted $2,500 bond and is out of the Charlotte County Jail.
