Collier car into canal
COLLIER COUNTY - Two Collier County children are fighting for their lives tonight after the car they were riding in flew into a canal off I-75.
Florida Highway Patrol says it happened this morning near mile marker 87. Troopers say 33 year old Cecilia Douglas hit the back of a car sending her car off the road and into a canal. Douglas died on scene. Her three and four year old children were rushed to Physicians Regional Hospital in Naples in serious and critical condition.
The passenger in the other car is listed in serious condition at Physicians Regional.
