Crash causes morning rush mess in Bonita Springs
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - An early morning crash on northbound I-75 at the Bonita Springs exit created a snarl for the morning commute.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. north of the overpass. The Florida Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Maria Torres was driving on the inside lane in her Honda Accord when she struck a dead animal in the roadway.
Torres lost control of her car and veered toward the left hitting the bridge guard rail spinning several times before her car came to a rest in the center and outside lanes. Torres was not injured in the crash.
The crash forced the FHP to shutdown two lanes of I-75 for more than two hours.
