Fort Myers police searching for man who robbed a Wells Fargo
FORT MYERS, Fla.---Fort Myers police are looking for a man who robbed Wells Fargo Bank in Lee County.
The robbery happened Thursday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Bank on Lee Boulevard in Fort Myers.
Upon arrival police learned that one male suspect entered the bank, jumped the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect fled on foot. No one inside the bank was hurt during the robbery. Police with assistance from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office set up a perimeter using K9 but did not locate the suspect. Witnesses describe the suspect as a dark skinned male wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call FMPD at 321-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
