3 arrested in Englewood drug bust

ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - The Charlotte County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit and SWAT team raided an Englewood home in the 9300 block of Poplar Avenue Wednesday arresting three men on multiple drug charges.

28-year-old Jerry Lee Williams, Jr. and 28-year-old Marcus Quinton Farrior, both of Englewood along with 27-year-old Bruce Veonzal Singleton of Sarasota were taken into custody.

Based on intelligence CCSO Narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant and found all three men inside the home.  Singleton was found with $650 cash in his pocket and another $3,000 rolled up under his bedroom mattress.

They also found three pastic baggies of cocaine and some loose marijuana in the bedroom.

In Williams' bedroom they found a plastic baggie of caone and another $1,900 of cash was found in his SUV.

A search of Farrior's bedroom found a shoebox with almost four grams of marijuana and three smoked joints.

Detectives also seized three counter surveillance cameras believed used with the sale of narcotics.

Williams and Singleton were both charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Williams was also charged with violation of probation since he was on active felony probation. He remains in the Charlotte County Jail on no bond.  Farrior was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Farrior posted a $2,000 bond and Singleton posted $4,500 and were released.
