Anti-Muslim pastor not moving church to Fort Myers
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The pastor who gained national notoriety for his threat to burn the Quran had decided not to move his church from Gainesville to Fort Myers.
Last year Terry Jones announced plans to move his Dove World Outreach Center to Fort Myers. Jones has decided to move the center to Tampa instead.
FOX 4 News reached out to the church to find out why Jones changed his mind. He responded by saying the Tampa Bay is a very large and diverse area where he believes the conditions will be more favorable for their different non-profit activities for waking up and informing American of the alarming condition it is in and the direction it is headed.
