Cape Coral police investigating first homicide of the year
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A Cape Coral woman is dead prompting police to conduct a death investigation. 45-year-old Anna Rivera was found dead at her home at 309 NE. 18th Avenue Sunday afternoon.
Police also found her husband, 50-year-old Porfirio Rivera, with non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital and detectives plan to interview him once doctors finishing treating him.
Police are not saying how Mrs. Rivera died or giving any specifics about her husband's injuries but they do say the neighborhood is safe and no suspects are at large.
