Lehigh burglary suspect arrested
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County deputies responded Wednesday to an occupied burglary on Hines Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
Upon arrival, the victim stated he was in his locked home when he heard knocking at his front door. The victim did not answer the door but looked out the window and observed an unknown black male.
When the victim heard the door break in his home he ran to his garage and retrieved a machete.
The victim then chased the suspect with the machete.
The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Kevin Dumas of Lehigh Acres. The suspect was arrested and charged with one count of burglary of an occupied dwelling and one count of aggravated assault.
