Teen avoids jail time after caught with drugs with former Lee County Commissioner
FORT MYERS, Fla.- A Fort Myers teenager caught with drugs while in car with a former Lee County Commissioner will avoid jail time.
19-year-old David Henley accepted responsibility for charges including possession of cocaine and marijuana and driving without a license. In return he will not go to jail.
Henley was pulled over in November while driving former County Commissioner Brian Bigelow in a car rented by Bigelow. The 19-year-old did not have a license and was taken to jail where he reportedly admitted to having cocaine and marijuana on him.
Bigelow has plead not guilty to a charge of allowing an unauthorized person to drive his car.
