Good samaritans stop suspected Tice purse snatcher
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County deputies arrested a 35-year-old man for snatching a purse from a woman Tuesday morning near Palm Beach Boulevard and New York Drive.
Deputies arrived at Tice Street and Lynneda Avenue where they saw two men holding the suspect to the ground.
Witnesses say Dominic Griffiths was riding a bike and grabbed a purse off a woman as she walked down Palm Beach Boulevard. The victim dropped her groceries and tried to chase down the suspect when a man driving through the area stopped his vehicle and nabbed the suspect.
Griffiths is charged with robbery by sudden snatching.
