Lee School Board to vote on $35M expansion for Dunbar HS
FORT MYERS - The Lee County School Board will vote Tuesday on a nearly $35 million expansion of Dunbar High School.
The major renovation, totaling $34.9 million, would add a second story to the building as well as bring in new furniture, fixtures and electronics.
The project would begin in early 2013 and be completed by December 2014.
Superintendent Dr. Joseph Burke has recommended the board approve the renovation which would be paid for with capital funds.
Dunbar High School is the first Microsoft certified high school and specializes in teaching science, technology, engineering and math.
