Fort Myers police on scene of city's first murder of 2013
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Fort Myers police are investigating a homicide in the 2100 block of Barden. A man was found shot outside the Apostolic Revival Center around 11:30 this morning.
Upon arrival police located one male victim deceased in the parking lot of the school. The shooting was not associated with the school and no children were hurt. Police believe the murder was a targeted act of violence and detectives are actively investigating the crime. Police are still working to notify the victim’s parents before releasing his identity.
