FORT MYERS, Fla.---A Popular Fort Myers restaurant and bar has suddenly closed up shop with no warning.

Ballyorney’s Irish Pub on South Tamaimi Trail in Fort Myers has been open just a year and a half but when vendors and customers showed up Wednesday for business as usual they got quite a shock

The "open for lunch" sign hangs boldly out front leaving many loyal customers confused as to why Ballyorney’s Irish pub is a ghost town.

It's not just customers who are surprised. Don Lee, says he owns the cleaning company which has serviced the restaurant since they opened.

After being contacted about the sudden closing, we started digging for answers.
While the website is still up, even listing upcoming musical acts, other things we heard...may point to trouble.

We discovered Ballyorney's food service license expired on December 1st and several friends and vendors we spoke with claim they haven't seen or heard from the manager in quite sometime.

We tried contacting the manager, even going to his home, but he wasn't there.
We also contacted the owners of the building, who, we're told are out of the country leaving many to wonder what will happen next.
