WFTX - A lot of your money was spent at the gas station this year, and according to AAA it was the most than ever before
Gasoline prices were the highest ever in 2012, with the nationwide average at $3.60. That is up nine cents from the previous record high set in 2011.
AAA says we can blame hurricanes, refinery outages, and tensions with the Middle East for the high prices.
Good news though, gas prices are supposed to drop in 2013.
