GOLDEN GATE, FL - The Golden Gate fire department is now looking for a new Fire Chief, as the current one announces he is leaving the department.
Robert Metzger has been named as the new Fire Chief for the city of Redondo Beach, California. Metzger has been serving as the Fire Chief in Golden Gate for the past five years. Back in October there was opposition to his employment contract with the city, with critics saying it was excessive.
Metzger will start his new job in February.
