Ft. Myers records 24th murder of 2012
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Police received a call just before 7:30 a.m. about a man injured inside a home located in the 2500 hundred block of Lafayette Street. A neighbor called 911 after making the discovery.
The victim in yesterday’s homicide has been identified as 24 year old David Lau.
When police and ambulance crews arrived they found the man inside the home dead. Police are investiging the incident as a murder. It marks the city's 24th murder of the year, a record.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement joined Fort Myers police investigators to serve a search warrant and process the crime scene.
