LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County detectives cracked a heist from a South Fort Myers jewelry store arresting a 35-year-old Lehigh Acres man in connection with the theft.

Richard Sprague is charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property and defrauding a pawnbroker.

Investigators say Sprague walked into a Dunkin's Diamonds and took a 28 inch gold rope chain.  A series of leads generated by detectives and tips given to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers lead to his arrest.

The gold chain was valued at $10,000 and was sold to a local pawn shop.
