FHP identifies Bonita Springs crash victim
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - The Florida Highway Patrol identified a 57-year-old man who died in a Wednesday afternoon crash at Bonita Beach Road and Michigan Street.
The FHP says Leonard Ratz of Bonita Springs died when he drove his Toyota Corolla into the path of a Volkswagen van driven by 31-year-old HuanHuan Li also from Bonita Springs.
Investigators say Ratz was attempting to make a left turn onto Michigan Street as he drove east on Bonita Beach Road. Ratz wasn't wearing his seat belt and he was partially ejected from his car. Li was wearing a seat belt and suffered only minor injuries.
