SOUTHWEST FLORIDA - After dozens are killed in Connecticut, some are wondering if the loss of life could have been less if someone in the school had been armed.

Four In Your Corner's Colleen Hogan is getting reaction. Should teachers, pastors and the rest of us be armed to prevent tragedy?

"Guns aren't killing," Ft. Myers small businessman Jason Barrett said. "These crazy people are killing. It takes someone to pull the trigger."

Barrett says he thinks teachers should be armed. He thinks less people would have died if someone could have fired back against the gunman.

"I believe that if a teacher or even a pastor is willing to take safety and proper training courses on how to use a firearm, I do not have a problem with a teacher having a firearm strapped to their side," he said.

Across town, Pastor Ryan Deaton of Life Church in Ft. Myers says he's never been threatened or in danger at his church. He believes the choice to carry a weapon is up to the individual person.

"I think that's really a personal call for each individual," he said. "Personally, I don't have a problem if they are or not. I don;t think it's a moral question we even need to be asking at this time. I think we need to look back as a nation and say, why are we at this place?"
