Pine Island says no to fluoride
PINE ISLAND, FL – It looks like fluoride will stay out of the drinking water in Pine Island for now. City officials voted six to three against adding fluoride to community’s drinking water.
Those for the idea say the chemical can provide dental health, but those against it have told us they worry about the potential dangers of adding fluoride to drinking water.
Pine Island officials say they will meet again in February, where they will decide on adding a by-law that will require all water issues to be brought for a vote by residents.
